Adipurush is an upcoming Indian Hindu Historical film based on the epic Ramayana. The film is directed by Om Raut and produced by T-Series Films and Retrophiles. Shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages, the film stars Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh. Made on a budget of ₹300−500 crore, Adipurush is one of the most expensive Indian films ever made. Principal photography commenced in February 2021 and ended in November 2021 with filming primary taking place in Mumbai. The film is scheduled to be theatrically released on 12 January 2023 in standard formats, 3D, and IMAX 3D.
